A world on fire. The heat of passion. Feverish. Hot topics. Who’s hot, who’s not. Overheated rhetoric. This summer of 2024 will be too hot, but it’s not just the climate. Our world faces a cacophony of issues that are Too Hot to handle, including materialism, economic inequality, climate change, racism, immigration, reproductive freedom, and gender norms.

This exhibit will showcase artists who are passionate about our national dialogue. We seek artwork that challenge norms, ignite conversations, and shed light on diverse political narratives. Join us in creating a space for dialogue and reflection on the major issues of our time and help us answer the question, how can we as artists contribute to actively provoking and engaging an audience to participate in the civic life of the nation.
